1. Who we are
NicheDoctrine ("we", "us") is an Etsy niche research tool operated by Malik (Muhammad Irshad), Pakistan. Contact: irshad.malik007@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
You can explore the app and its example results without an account, and we collect nothing about guests. If you create a free account to run live searches, we store on our server only what the service needs: your name, your email address, and a salted one-way hash of your password — never the password itself, so we could not show it to anyone even if asked. To run the free daily quota we also keep a count of your searches per day. We do not keep a per-person history of which keywords you searched. Two service records are not tied to you personally: a daily tally of searched keywords across all users (counts only), and, while you are signed in, a short-lived presence timestamp — together they power the operator's live usage board (searches today, top keywords, who is online). Your own search history, saved niches, and app settings are stored only on your own device (in the app's local storage). If you email us for support, we use your email address only to reply.
3. Etsy data
NicheDoctrine uses the Etsy API to display publicly available listing and shop information. When you run a search, the keyword is sent from our server to the Etsy API, and the results are shown only to you. We do not access your private Etsy account, and we never ask for your Etsy password. We do not create, edit, or delete any listings.
4. How we use data
We never sell, share, or profile your data — and we never would. Account details exist only so you can sign in and use your daily searches. Each user's research is private to that user by design: "your data, your secret."
5. Cached Etsy data
Etsy results are fetched live for each search and are not stored on our servers. One labelled example result for guests is cached for at most 6 hours.
6. Third parties
The app is served by our hosting provider, which delivers the app files like any website host. When a signed-in user opens the trend panel, the keyword is sent to SerpApi to fetch Google Trends data; the returned chart data (not your account details) may be cached on our server for up to 3 days. We use no analytics or advertising services, and there is no payment processor in the current version.
7. Cookies and device storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The app saves small preferences on your own device (local storage) so it remembers your settings; you can clear them at any time from your browser or device settings, which deletes your on-device history with them.
8. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete any data we hold about you at any time by emailing the contact address above — including deleting your account and its stored details entirely. We respond to requests within 30 days.
9. Security
We use reasonable measures such as HTTPS, but no system is 100% secure.
10. Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 16.
11. Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do.
12. Etsy trademark
The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
